ABOUT THE VENUE
The Pasmore House, built circa 1900, was originally used as a boarding facility for some of the very first students at Cary High School. As you wander throughout, you will see that the bones of the house have been restored, highlighted, and displayed- enjoy reveling in 100 years of memories made within our walls.
Our comfortable historic venue has been carefully updated with modern touches throughout. Two of the original brick fireplaces were exposed to highlight the craftsmanship from 120 years ago. The Taproom includes a 25-foot prohibition-era style bar with a stunning Italian marble top. Above are handmade NC walnut lighting fixtures, a bar back handcrafted by a local carpenter, and tap handles created by a local master woodworker. The walls feature historical photographs of the Town of Cary and surrounding area and reminders of what life was like in the early 20th century.
The back room is a temporary home to various pieces of rotating NC artwork, all available for purchase. There is also a 1910 piano available for guest musicians to enjoy.
As you make your way through the back door of the house, you’ll find yourself on our double tiered back deck with string lights hanging above. The back decks overlook a beautiful, lush backyard with views of the Downtown Cary Fountain, the new library complex, and backs right up to what will soon be the Town Centerpiece Urban Park. During the Winter, the deck will be covered with a heated and lighted tent so folks can enjoy our venue year round!
